Use Resize CDR with confidence.

This guide covers the current app interface—from connecting CorelDRAW and preparing a roster to PSD conversion, size-only output, preflight, and run history.

First launch

Connect CorelDRAW

Open CorelDRAW and load the CDR template you want to process. Resize CDR checks the connection in the upper-left status card.

  1. If the status says Connected, continue to Template Check.
  2. If it is not detected, press Refresh.
  3. If detection still fails, open Settings → CorelDRAW Connection, use Auto, then save.
Keep the correct document active.The app operates on the active CorelDRAW file and page.

Production preflight

Check the template

Open Template Check before the first production run. Resize CDR looks for the text placeholders used by its automation.

  1. Press Check Template for a read-only scan.
  2. Review passed checks and naming issues.
  3. Use Fix Names only after reading the confirmation. It renames recognized text placeholders; it does not redesign the artwork.

Main production workflow

Run Jersey Grid or Shorts Grid

Both grids use the same production pattern. Shorts keeps its own measurements and optional player-name setting.

Choose setup

Select the size preset, short or full size label, column count, sort order, and side/top gaps.

Set options

Choose uppercase names, Ready Size Groups, one player per page, text max widths, layers to preserve, and JPG output.

Paste players

Paste Name, Number, Size rows from Excel. Add rows or custom columns when needed.

Check the job

Run Production Preflight and correct issues before starting a large batch.

Run and monitor

Press Run. Use live progress, Pause, or Cancel without losing visibility into the active job.

Review output

Inspect the completed CDR pages and optional JPG files, then review the job in Run History.

Ready Size GroupsGenerate XS–7XL or scan existing pre-sized groups. When enabled, the roster accepts only the sizes found in the template.

Roster preparation

Clean a messy player list

Use Clean List when names, numbers, and sizes arrive in mixed formats.

  1. Paste the raw list into Messy list.
  2. Press Clean List and review the result.
  3. Copy it or press Send to Jerseys.

Reusable measurements

Create and manage Size Presets

Jerseys and shorts have separate preset views. Each size maps a label to width and height in inches.

  1. Select Jerseys or Shorts.
  2. Create a new preset, duplicate an existing one, or rename it.
  3. Add sizes such as S, M, L, XL, or 7XL with exact width and height.
  4. Press Save Sizes.
  5. Select the saved preset in a production grid or Sizes Only.

No roster required

Create sizes only

This tool duplicates one CorelDRAW source group into selected jersey, shorts, or sleeve sizes.

  1. Choose the template type and size preset.
  2. Enter the exact Corel source group name.
  3. For sleeves, choose the current source size and an output prefix.
  4. Select the required sizes and set columns and gaps.
  5. Choose whether to update the size text and hide the original source.
  6. Press Create Selected Sizes.
Safe rerunsGroups that already use the same output size name are skipped.

Photoshop workflow

Convert PSD to Corel CDR

PSD to Corel checks the source first, then uses CorelDRAW’s native PSD filter to create a new CDR.

  1. Drop a PSD file or press Browse PSD.
  2. Leave Photoshop metadata reading on when exact text and styles are important.
  3. Review canvas details, layer structure, fonts, effects, and warnings.
  4. Choose the output path and whether to rebuild editable Corel text.
  5. Choose missing-font handling, imported raster reference visibility, and whether to keep the CDR open.
  6. Optionally run AI Style Assist. Standard conversion does not require AI.
  7. Press Convert to Corel CDR, then open the output folder.
PrivacyAI Style Assist sends text-effect metadata—not the PSD file or full jersey artwork. The API key is stored with Windows encryption.

Records

Review Run History

Open Run History after a job to confirm what ran and when. It provides a convenient record of recent jersey, shorts, sizing, and conversion activity.

Set defaults and integrations

LicenseManage or deactivate the license assigned to this computer.
CorelDRAW ConnectionAuto-detect the executable or save a specific path.
Grid DefaultsSet columns, size-label style, and default side/top gaps.
AppearanceSwitch between the dark and light themes.
AI Style AssistSave and test the OpenRouter key, then choose Private or Strict ZDR routing.

Production checklist

Before every large batch

  • Save a backup copy of the source CDR template.
  • Confirm the correct CorelDRAW document and page are active.
  • Run Template Check after receiving a new or edited template.
  • Scan Ready Size Groups and verify all roster sizes are available.
  • Check player spelling, leading-zero numbers, and custom columns.
  • Use Production Preflight before pressing Run.
  • Test one or two roster rows before a full team batch.
  • Confirm the JPG profile, DPI, color profile, and filename pattern.
